Introducing Moreland University

We are proud to announce that TEACH-NOW, one of the nation’s fastest-growing graduate schools of education, has become Moreland University.

Expanding into a university structure will allow for future growth, with Moreland University serving as the umbrella institution for multiple colleges. The District of Columbia Higher Education Licensure Commission approved the name change on July 9, 2020.

The name change comes after eight years as a pathbreaking institution that has challenged traditional and online teaching methods. Beginning with an initial cohort of only 10 teacher candidates in 2012, graduates and candidates now number more than 5,500 students in over 135 countries.

“This is a natural next step for this institution,” said Dr. Emily Feistritzer, Moreland’s founder and chief executive officer. “We have grown exponentially, and the new organizational structure will allow us to expand into other areas. It’s an exciting milestone for our faculty and students.”
